Sharepoint 2013 : Working with media - Uploading and tagging media files

One of the optimizations put in application out of the box is the capacity of the library to identify the prolonged information of meta-data contained with the media, such as the author, dates taken, people in the image, resolution of the camera, and comments on. Upload and tag media files

  1. On the Quick Launch bar, click the Site Contents link.

  2. On the Site Contents page, in the Lists, libraries, And Other Apps section, click the asset library with which you want to work.

  3. In the library, click the New Item link.

  4. In the Add A Document dialog box, click the Browse button to select a single image to upload

  5. Click OK.

  6. In the Metadata Input dialog box, fill in the relevant information.

  7. Click the Save button.

Tip

The preceding stages will help you when you download the simple articles. If you must download the multiple articles, although, this procedure can be cumbersome.

Upload multiple files

  1. On the Quick Launch bar, click Site Contents.

  2. On the Site Contents page, in the Lists, libraries, And Other Apps section, click the asset library with which you want to work.

  3. In another window, navigate to and open and the folder that contains the files that you want to upload in Windows Explorer.

  4. Select the files that you want to upload.

  5. Drag the files over to the section in SharePoint labeled New Item Or Drag Files Here and release the mouse.
