Sharepoint 2013 : Working with media - Using SharePoint assets in Microsoft Office - Connect an asset library to Office, Connect to Office 365

Today, so much of what we do requires to create and function with documents. In the past, the documents typically consisted mainly of text, but now, they contain more and more images, diagrams and worksheets, as well. Still, in days spent, to treat this kind of document usually implied to invite the services of a professional composer. Several Microsoft years ago presented Microsoft Office, a continuation of the products which revolutionized the computer assisted publishing for the masses. Microsoft SharePoint 2013 perpetuates the tradition presented in SharePoint 2010 to provide an integration tightened between SharePoint and the line of office supplies. Thus, capital which is stored in SharePoint can be added in documents of office.

Connect an asset library to Office

  1. In your assets library, at the top of the window, click the Library tab.

  2. On the ribbon, in the Connect & Export group, click the Connect To Office button.

  3. In the pop-up message box that appears, click the Yes Button.

Connect your asset library to Office.

Tip

If you are using an Office 365 instance of SharePoint, you will also need to connect to the service from within Office.

Connect to Office 365

  1. Open an Office application, such as Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft PowerPoint 2013, or Microsoft Excel 2013.

  2. Click the File tab to display the Backstage view.

  3. Click the Account tab.

  4. Click Add A Service.

  5. On the menu that opens, point to the Storage option.

  6. On the submenu that appears, click Office 365 SharePoint.

  7. In the Sign In To Office dialog box, click the Sign In Button.

  8. Enter your User ID and Password and then click Sign In.

Tip

When using Office 365, it can take up to several hours before the Office 365 sites become available for you within Office applications.
