Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 : Rotating and Flipping Objects

3/9/2015 10:58:33 PM
To be able to turn of the objects can help you to take interesting measures of design on your slides or to help to organize objects so that they adapt together. It is easy to make rotation using a handful of rotation which is obvious all the times that you click on an object. While trailing the handle, you can turn the object anywhere along an axis of 360 degrees.

Rotate an Object

  1. Click the object to select it. Notice the green rotation handle that appears above it.

  2. Drag the rotation handle to spin the object. When the object appears at the angle you want, release the mouse button.

  4. Click the arrow on the Arrange button.

  5. Click Rotate, and choose Rotate Right 90° or Rotate Left 90° from the submenu.

You can apply 3-D rotation effects to give objects perspective—as if they were rotated to place one edge farther in space from you than the other.

Tip

For more rotation options, click More Rotation Options on the Rotate menu. On the Size page in the Format Picture dialog box that appears, you can enter specific measurements for height and width as well as for setting the distance of the object from the edges of the slide.

Flip an Object

  1. Select the object, and click the Home tab.

  2. Click the Arrange button.

  3. Click Rotate, and choose Flip Vertical or Flip Horizontal from the submenu. The action is previewed on the slide.

Tip

Flipping shifts the object precisely 180 degrees. Another way to precisely place an object on your slide is to use the rotation handle to freely rotate it, but to display the gridlines so that you end up with the object aligned precisely to the edge of the slide and not at an angle. To display gridlines, click the View tab, and select the Gridlines check box.
